Police have promised to tackle the burglary rate in the Irish city of Nsw.
Figures show burglaries were down 9 per cent in Nsw last year, with the figure down to 947 incidents – down from 958 the year before.
Figures show a 9.4 per cent increase in cases in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire. Figures also show there have been a 30 per cent increase in thefts in the capital.
All these figures are the result of the gardaí’s ongoing investigation into a fire which destroyed an apartment block in an abandoned building after a fire bomb threat.
This is the third fire in Nsw this year which resulted in a total of 50 flats being destroyed and more than £30,000 in property damage.
The number of people in housing prgospelhitzoblems by numbers of their homes alsogospelhitz increased across Dublin, with a significant rise of 19 per cent, compared to last year, when it was up just 5 per cent.
Figures show two per cent of people in homes are in fact in housing problems. In Dublin, there are now eight people out of more than 400 homes in which housing has an outstanding problem, according to statistics.
Gardaí will be on patrol and building crews in every city in the country as part of their ongoing drive to tackle the issue of violent crime in the capital and the rest of Ireland.
